Influence of chemical pore-clearing method on infiltration rates of pervious asphalt concrete pavement

Pervious asphalt concrete (PAC) pavement is an environmentally friendly type of due to its highly porous structure. However, with the increase in service life PAC, small substances such as damaged rubber particles, industrial dust, sand, and grease collected rainwater infiltrate voids PAC so that it loses original pervious structure functions. In order explore effects chemical pore-clearing methods on infiltration rate blocked pores present study, agents sodium hydroxide solution (H2O2) hydrogen peroxide (NaOH) were used rinse specimens obtained from field sampling laboratory preparation. The effectiveness different restoring permeability stability was evaluated by water measurements, Cantabro abrasion tests, CT scanning. results showed capability H2O2 restore porosity greater than tap NaOH solution, especially when content 6%. addition, decomposition products are oxygen water, which products, this method proved effective preventing groundwater contamination pavement-cleansing solutions.
